ABOUT ME
Trust your eyes.
An elegantly simple piece of advice, and one that has always stuck with me.
Give yourself some credit, you know what's beautiful when you see it. There are no concrete rules, statistics, or equations that lead to that realization. You can visually identify potential, correctly decipher superior options, and understand the holistic complexities of a special work merely through instinct, experience, or most likely, a combination of the two. That unique combination comes directly from our trained eyes.
They speak the truth every time, we just have to be willing to listen.
I've tried to carry this approach to every area of my life. I continuously push for perfection, knowing full well that it can never be completely attained. Yet, the more I push, the farther I find I'm capable of going. I simply trust my eyes to steer me in the right direction, to assess and reassess, each time better than the last. This constant evaluation, an honest look at both strengths and weaknesses, waters the seeds of growth and progress. That's the beauty of it all; it's the only way forward in a race without a finish line.
You don't look down to watch every step you take. Look up, your eyes will guide you where you need to go, even through some stumbles along the way. It may at first seem uncomfortable, but I've come to embrace the endless journey of learning and self-improvement. Pair that sense of extreme development and ownership with a positive attitude, and it does wonders for not just an individual, but an entire team. That often-overlooked energy and enthusiasm is undeniably tangible, uplifting, and infectious. I genuinely try to brighten other people's days, and consider it a priority.
Being part of a team, that maintains its core of positivity and camaraderie, is remarkably satisfying and successful. That success though, carries beyond the visual product. I was instilled a strong sense of appreciation for both product and budget while growing up in a family of driven business owners. As a finance minor at the University of Miami (FL), I eagerly sought out the process for making any project monetarily feasible, and profitable. That curiosity has carried over into my professional experience as well, having the opportunity to work at and observe various companies whose financial balance sheets cover every range of the industry spectrum.
With a license to practice in New York and New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree, architecture has given me a comprehensive exposure to every imaginable design process. Artwork has allowed me the freedom to grow, understand, and experiment in techniques both old and new. Through photography, I've learned to tell stories using a combination of flow, tone, and composition.
As a classical architect, artist, and photographer, trained in today's modern world,
my instincts and experience have prepared me to conquer anything.
In my spare time, I've grown exceedingly passionate about film, football, and travel. I am blessed to have lived, studied, and worked in a sampling of the most diverse and artistic cities across the world, from New York to Los Angeles, and Miami to Rome. Yet, before all of that, I was raised in the quaint, rural town of Clinton, NJ. I constantly recall the network of loving family and supporting friends. In fact, I'm reminded of it every day when I see a certain middle school sweetheart, whom I've known and trusted since the age of five, my beautiful wife.
